Romantic George Ballroom Wedding with Cynthia and Peter.
Some wedding days just hit differently, and Cynthia & Peter’s was one of those. From the moment I arrived in the morning to capture their traditional Chinese tea ceremony, I knew this day would be something special.
The tea ceremony was full of warmth—family, tradition, and so much laughter. Cynthia looked absolutely breathtaking in her embroidered Qun Kwa, every detail rich with history and meaning. And Peter? He honored his Slavic heritage in a maroon Vyshyvanka, standing proudly beside his bride. It was a beautiful fusion of cultures, and I could feel the love in every interaction.
Then came the first look—just the two of them, away from the hustle of the day. These are always some of my favorite moments to capture, and this one? Pure magic. As Cynthia walked toward Peter, the emotions were undeniable. Tears were shed, hands trembled, and whispered words were exchanged that only they will ever know. This is what I live for—raw, unfiltered love.
Their ceremony at the George Ballroom was nothing short of a dream. The space, with its moody elegance and grand chandeliers, set the perfect scene for their vows. Every glance, every touch—it was like they existed in their own little world.
For their bridal portraits, we headed to the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, and wow—what a choice. The poppies were in season, painting the gardens in bursts of red and orange, as if they had bloomed just for Cynthia and Peter. Nature had truly shown off for them, and the result? Some of my favorite portraits of the year.
Then came the reception back at the George Ballroom, where the vibe shifted from timeless romance to an all-out party. Moody, elegant, yet full of unfiltered fun. The dance floor was wild, the energy electric, and let’s just say—these two know how to celebrate love.
This is why I adore capturing weddings in Melbourne. Every love story is unique, every couple brings their own magic, and nights like this remind me why I do what I do.
Cynthia & Peter—thank you for letting me document your day. It was an absolute honor.
